PIX JONASSON - Author, Speaker, Coach & Thought Leader
Passionate about health, wellness and all things entrepreneurial, Pix Jonasson, is a speaker, coach and thought leader who is publishing her new book Think and Get Rich After Hours which is set to be released later this year. I had the opportunity to speak with her and learn a little bit more about her story...
Hi Pix, introduce yourself: who are you, what are your interests and what do you do for a living?
G’day there Kels. I’m Pix Jonasson, a single Mum of two young adult kids, Sam, my 23 yr old son who lives in Mildura and works in a bank, and Katie, my 20 year old daughter, who is studying Bachelor of Business (Entrepreneurship) in Sydney. I have an older sister and brother and am an aunty and great aunty to many!
Originally from Ballarat, I moved to Port from Mildura (north-west Vic) nearly 9 years ago to be closer to my aging parents, both of whom have now passed away.
I am extremely passionate about personal development, communication & connections and health & wellness (all facets – spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, financial, environmental).
I love the beach too. It’s my happy place and I pretty much go there daily. I love people and places and have been fortunate to travel to several countries, another thing I am passionate about.
In addition to writing my book, Think and Get Rich After Hours, due out later this year, I have my own global online health & wellness business. I am also a Speaker, Coach and Thought Leader.
What do you feel is your purpose in life and how do you think you are making this into reality?
My purpose is to “positively impact people, once person at a time.” This starts with myself, being the best I can be so I can educate, inspire and motivate others to positively transform their lives.
I am doing this through my social media presence, my upcoming book which already has pre sales in 15 countries and my social marketing business which is in 5 of the 7 countries we operate in.
Where do you get the inspiration to be entrepreneurial?
I guess I attribute my initial inspo to my late Mum and Dad who always supported and encouraged me. Dad drummed “Communication” into us as kids…so here I am communicating globally.
I am an avid student of personal and business development (audios/videos/books etc) and seek out international mentors/coaches who have achieved what I want to so they inspire me too.
What is your favourite aspect about having your own businesses? (ie. connection, creativity, community)
With the internet, I love the absolute flexibility and freedom I have to work, connect and do business with people globally.
What are some of the challenges you have faced throughout your business journey and how have you overcome these?
Being a solopreneur, you are responsible for everything and I mean everything! You are the marketer, the copywriter, the accountant, the salesperson, the psychologist! etc etc.
I have overcome this by networking, partnering, JVs, outsourcing and basically asking for help!
Do you have a morning routine, and if so what does your morning routine look like? Does it benefit how you work for the rest of the day?
Yep I sure do. I aim to do my “Miracle Morning” every day – even weekends. I wake up usually around 5am, make a herbal tea, go back to bed and listen to my 20 mins guided meditation, then at least 10 pages reading of a personal development or business book. I say my affirmations, then I do my exercises at home (planking, push ups, leg exercises), then I will walk to my beloved Flynns Beach via my Rocky Beach workout session. It gets me up, about and in a positive frame of mind for the day. I also get to connect with my “Flynns family”.
What are some of your favourite books & resources you have come across that has escalated your mind and business outlook?
Oh gosh…where do I start? I have a massive library (yes of “book books”) A few key books for me are The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, Think and Get Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson, The Four Year Career by Richard Brooke and Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Rich Woman by Kim Kiyosaki.
What do you love doing in your spare time?
Have fun! I love spending time at the beach with friends, going out for dinner, reading, travelling.
What is your greatest & proudest achievement you have had so far in your business journey?
I guess it’s when Katie came to Las Vegas with me in April this year for our annual conference for our health and wellness biz. I always wanted to have a family business, I just didn’t know what form or vehicle or box that would come in. To travel the world, build a lifestyle and life-changing business together is fulfilling my dream.
What is one thing most people may not know about you?
Yes, Pix is my real name as I was only 2lb 2oz (less than 1kg for all you Gen Ys/Millennials 😊) at birth.
