HOW TO MAKE RAW, NUT & CACAO SLICE
I have been experimenting again, and oh how I love when something bliss comes to fruition.
This raw, nut, cacao slice is the perfect thing to curb your sweet tooth at the end of the day, after work or dinner.
These are super easy to make and literally takes 15 minutes! All you need is a blender or food processor, spoon, tray and baking paper.
I hope you enjoy! xx
Ingredients:
1 cup mixed raw nuts unsalted (I had walnuts, almonds & cashews)
1 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon mixed seeds (flax & chia)
7 pitted dates roughly chopped
1 tablespoon organic cacao powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon rice malt syrup
1 tablespoon water (or until mixture is combined)
Method:
1. Place all of the dry ingredients (nuts, oats, cacao, dates) to a blender or food processor. Grind until the mixture is like coarse sand.
2. Spoon out the dry mixture into a bowl.
3. Now add the honey, malt syrup and mix well.
4. Add the water and start mixing the mixture with your hands. Knead the dough until all of the mixture is combined and not too sticky.
5. Transfer mixture onto a lined baking tray. Begin to spread out the mixture with your hands to form a 1cm thick rectangle.
6. Once flattened, place the slice in the fridge to harden.
7. Keep slice stored in the fridge.
8. Enjoy!
